Commissions

It is a very important commitment to commission a portrait of a much loved pet. For me or indeed any other pet portrait artist, the responsibility to please my clients is of the utmost importance and is a great satisfaction in itself.
If an artist is to paint from a photograph, it is important to have enough detail to enable the painter to take from the image what they consider to be the essence of that much loved pet. To meet the subject is ideal and to take my own photographs is even better.
If it is not possible to meet the subject, either through distance, or if the painting is to be presented as a gift, it is important that I, as a pet portrait painter have as much information on the subject's character and personality to allow the resulting painting to portray much more than just a copy of a photograph.
